The NYS Governor primaries are tomorrow. If you don’t know that, you probably don’t care at all. That’s not the point of this article. The point is that Cynthia Nixon, whose campaign was built on eggshells to begin with, took a big hit to the coolness factor after she publicly ordered a lox and capers on a cinnamon raisin bagel.
That doesn’t sound great, sweet cinnamon mixed with the salt of what I would say is the ocean’s most precious delicacies, smoked salmon. I’m sure you don’t agree with that statement, but I’m a huge lox guy. HUGE. If you call it smoked salmon, I know you’re not a real lox person. And if you say you just prefer smoked salmon flavored cream cheese, stop talking to me immediately.
I can’t wait until my budget allows me to indulge in copious amounts of lox on my bagel for breakfast every single day. That is the threshold I measure success, because until then, I shall buy the questionably cheap $7 packs and use it sparingly over the course of a week.
Regardless, it’s just always been my style (and everyone’s) to eat lox with a salty neutral bagel. We’re talkin’ plain, sesame, onion, everything, maybe even asiago parm…you get the picture. Anyways, Cynthia throws us all for a loop when she ordered it with cinnamon raisin. The sweetest bagel there is besides cinnamon sugar.
The internet was displeased.
Lox her up is indeed a funny byline. Sort of wish my brain came up with that. But you know what? I’m not gonna jump to conclusions like these other folks. Although I doubt it exists, if there is a way to improve my lox eating experience, I’m all ears, folks. I’m not gonna knock it til I try it.
Ok I just texted Taylor and we’re going to try it tonight. Stay tuned everybody, it will be on our Insta story and probably everywhere else too. Because if Cynthia Nixon changes the way I eat lox, my most favorite breakfast delicacy, she will have my vote.
She also double downed on this, I do like this woman. It’s too bad she’s gonna lose the primaries.
Yes, I like to eat a Cinnamon Raisin Bagel with… lox, capers, red onions, cream cheese, and tomatoes.
