10 Best Things that Happened in College Football – Week 2

Another GREAT week of college football. We had more stupid shit to remind us that these freak athletes are all just 18-21 year olds on a national stage, and the biggest game so far this season did not disappoint with #6 LSU beating #9 Texas 45-38 in Austin. Let’s dive in.

  1. Matthew McConaughey rolling up to College Gameday in style

Also, how exactly do you become a minister of culture???

2. Me, sitting down to write this blog with Akron’s turnover…pencil

3. FSU receiver lining up in the direction their season is going

4. LSU puts Texas away with one hell of a play

What a game it was. My Spectrum TV service asked if I was still there during the 3rd quarter because I just sat there soaking it all in. Geaux Tigers.

5. Then QB Joe Burrow waves goodbye

6. This kid was not happy

I don’t see this getting forgotten anytime soon. Big-time meme worthy.

7. Tennessee starts the season 0-2 after home losses to Georgia State and BYU

But forget about them, I had the under at 53. Felt pretty confident when it was 16-13 with 30 seconds left in regulation…god dammit.

8. FSU survived because of a missed extra point from UL Monroe

9. Ryan Hilinski got his first start at QB for South Carolina. His brother Tyler tragically committed suicide last year. Safe to say he’d be proud of his little bro.

10. Imagine going out and playing for your coach who just lost his wife? Tear jerker.

Of course they steamrolled UNLV 43-17.

Give me week 3. Give it to me now.
