The fall season is off to a hot start over here in the Capital Region. As this area continues to get even cooler and cooler, (I’ve heard some people refer to it as the ‘2BD Effect’) that means we’ve got events and entertainment going on throughout all the Upstate seasons, not just primetime summertime.
So yeah, you heard it here first –there’s a lot more to do in the fall than just go apple picking. And if any of the following things interest you, OH BOY do I have just the event coming up on October 6 that needs to get on your radar ASAP.
If you are a fan of…
- Sunday Brunch
- Specialty cocktails (Bloody Mary’s, anyone?)
- Outdoor patios (assuming it’ll be warm out)
- Reality television
- Photo opps. for your Instagram feed
I’m assuming the above list made you yell out an audible, hell yes!, which means it’s time to get your tickets to Saratoga Living’s Best of Everything event at Saratoga National.
Here’s your virtual invitation in case yours got lost in the mail:
WHO: You, duh. Oh and me –I’ll be there!
WHAT: Saratoga Living celebrates the “Best of Saratoga” – starring Dorinda Medley, star of The Real Housewives of New York City! Dorinda Medley and her celebrity friends celebrate the very best of Saratoga
WHEN: October 6 –11 AM to 12 PM, VIP meet-and-greet; 12 PM to 2 PM, general admission
WHERE: Prime at Saratoga National
Sounds pretty cool if ya ask me, and I don’t even watch The Real Housewives! They will be filming some bits for the show during this event, which means everyone in attendance should show up looking camera-ready. You should also bring your popcorn with you because if I know anything about reality shows, it’s that there is going to be some DRAMA, and you need a front row seat to that.
I don’t know why they asked me to go –I have $85K in student debt left and I will be nobody’s housewife as a result. But really, I’m going to be hanging out at the event looking like I could be on the show if I actually wanted to be, and of course doing some red carpet style interviews with people in attendance to help make this event as boujee as possible.
In the meantime, I am going to prepare accordingly by reaching out to my glam squad at Circles and Alexandria’s Beauty Salon to make sure my look will be noticeable in the background of the reality TV episode that will eventually air a few seconds of footage at this event. I’m not stupid –I know my big break could happen anywhere at any time.
This is shaping up to be a really unique event where you have a chance to step up your typical weekend brunch plans by a lot. If I were you, I’d recommend trading in your hungover, Sunday mid-morning athleisure wear for a floral fall dress that’ll have you fitting right in with the Housewives themselves.
Who knows, maybe we can start a Real Housewives of Saratoga Springs if we all show up in style. You know I’ll be there teaching Dorinda and her crew what it means to go a couple buttons deep.
