Adam Sandler and Jimmy Fallon serenade our troops and remind us why we love them so much

It’s Fleet Week in New York City and per tradition, Jimmy Fallon welcomed U.S. troops to “The Tonight Show” audience. This year he surprised them with something legendary — an uncanny and hilarious duet with actor Adam Sandler.

Before either could even sang a word, the servicemen and women in the crowd were on their feet cheering (and wouldn’t we all?)

Check out the tune”Friends on All Bases” (parody of “Friends in Low Places”)

A few lyrics:

Well I’ll tell you the truth. I love all the troops. Protecting the land, sea and air,” Fallon started on the new country twang.

Sandler then chimed in, “Now you’re back in town, keeping us safe and sound from that crazy ass Elmo in Times Square.”

“Now I’ve got friends on all bases, from the Navy up to the Air Force aces and the Army green, Coast Guard and Marines.”

What is fleet week? In essence it is 7 day celebration where Navy, Coast Guard and Marine ships are docked in NYC and the servicemen and women are set free throughout the city where apparently a lot of sex happens. Kinda like how it worked before Tinder.
