Late Night In The Morning provides a daily clip of what you missed in late night television so you can enjoy your beauty rest without missing out on the laughs. Today: The studio lights crash while James Cordon is interviewing Shia LaBeouf, Colbie Smulders and Rachel Bloom.
PAY YOUR DAMN ELECTRIC BILLS, CBS. For those unfamiliar with the franchise, the Late Late Show is CBS’ 2nd installment of late night television and airs immediately after The Late Show. It was created in 2004 by David Letterman and the show tapes at CBS Studios in Los Angeles, right next to Price Is Right.
James’ predecessor, Craig Ferguson spent way too many episodes dealing with studio mishaps like this. I saw him on multiple occasions go on with the show in the dark, wear a rain coat because the roof was leaking, and once I saw a show live and the air conditioner broke and we were all sweating balls by the time it wrapped.
CBS is a mess and it’s good to see nothing has changed. You’d think CBS would have upgraded their services with James’ swaggy new set, but alas, they have not. The lights still go off and this clip is very funny because the guests and the audience think it’s a bit, but really nobody knows what the hell is going on.
