Late Night In The Morning – Jimmy Kimmel Calls For Parents To Prank Their Kids This Halloween

Late Night In The Morning provides a daily clip of what you missed in late night television so you can enjoy your beauty rest without missing out on the laughs. Today: Jimmy Kimmel (Jimmy Kimmel Live/ABC) returns with his infamous “I told my kids I ate their halloween candy” challenge.

For five years in a row now, Kimmel has relentlessly crushed the Hallodreams of little kids by asking parents to trick them by saying they ate their treats. Can you imagine the tidal wave of emotion you would feel as a child being told all the candy you dressed up for, endured small talk for, and walked almost a mile for, is gone?

The good thing, it’s just a prank; the great thing is it’s all caught on video and put into a compilation in Jimmy’s show. And last night Jimmy gave his calling for parents to do the same this year.

“Every year people ask me, are you going to do the prank again? And I say yes! We’re going to do it every year until these dopey kids figure it out!”

“Jimmy would like to officially invite parents to take part in our 6th annual Halloween Candy YouTube Challenge. If you want to be a part of it, sometime after you go trick or treating tell your kids you ate all their Halloween candy. Record it and upload your video to YouTube with the title: “Hey Jimmy Kimmel – I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy.” Once you post your video, keep an eye out for a message from us to your YouTube account.”

If you want to make this halloween a memorable one, I’d suggest doing this prank, the kids will forgive you (as long as you don’t really eat the candy…Dad).
