Late Night in the Morning – Broadway Riff-Off With Neil Patrick Harris & James Corden

Late Night In The Morning provides a daily clip of what you missed in late night television so you can enjoy your beauty rest without missing out on the laughs. Today: James Corden (The Late Late Show/CBS) has a broadway riff-off with Neil Patrick Harris.

Neil Patrick Harris confronts James as he was about to get into a bit about acronyms. Before he’s interrupted he was explaining how GEICO is actually an acronym, which most people don’t know, including myself. James starts by saying “General…” but I looked it up with the power of Google, and it’s actually “Government Employees Insurance Company.”

Mind. Blown. All this time that geico has been working for the god damn government. I knew his adorableness was a decoy.

Anyways, the duo have a riff-off of hit broadway songs and it’s actually pretty legit. I’m not really a broadway guy, but I’ve been on a huge Hamilton kick as of late and of course a song from that soundtrack showed up. Enjoy:

In case anyone wanted the names of the songs:
1. Sit down you’re rocking the boat – Guys and Dolls
2. Everything’s coming up roses – Gypsy
3. Being alive – Company
4. On my own – Les Mis
5. All that jazz – Chicago
6. Sugar daddy – Hedwig and the Angry Inch
7. My shot- Hamilton
