Lance Bass, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Joey Fatone, all in one place again? The last time we saw the boys together was the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards and I’m still recovering.
Rumors have been swirling around the internet of a reunion of our favorite 90s boy-band, *NSYNC.
I hate to break it to you all, but the rumors are false (well, kind of). The band is not putting out any new music, they aren’t going on tour, and they aren’t performing at any more award shows.
The rumors stemmed from band member, Lance Bass, who told Entertainment Tonight that the band would be achieving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame but… that’s all their doing. The internet exploded with claims of a new album or at least a performance, but sadly, it’s nothing more than a photo-op.
After weeks of rumors surrounding a reunion of the popular boyband, Lance Bass tweeted a statement saying, “just to clarify. If people want to call the Walk Of Fame Star a “reunion” then fine, but we have no plans on making any new music or tour.”
The band’s official Twitter account and other members of the band also clarified that the band would not be having a “reunion” per se.

Well, hopefully there’s real news soon, Mr. Fatone.
Many of us expected at least a single or an album when we heard the word “reunion,” but it turns out the band was only Tearin’ Up Our Hearts. Good for them and everything, but I’m definitely a little disappointed. It’d be interesting to see what a 90s boy-band would do for new content in 2017, but if Nickelback is still around after all of these years… then N’SYNC could definitely pull it off.
The band is definitely releasing a new vinyl version of their Christmas album, but they do not plan on working on anything new at the moment. To be honest, I didn’t even know they had a Christmas album. So no, the band is not getting back together *sigh*, but at least we’ll be able to see them all together again for one final Bye, Bye, Bye.
