Riverdale: The Most Underrated Show On Netflix

Over the last few weeks, there’s been a lot of talk about shows like 13 Reasons Why and Orange Is the New Black. Yes, these shows are amazing but there’s a new series on Netflix that deserves some of that spotlight: Riverdale.

To give you some backstory, Riverdale, a small town that creepily reminds me of Hoosick Falls. The local diner was the after school spot every kid flocked to. Everyone’s parents were well acquainted. Basically, everyone was nice and minded their own business… until high school football star Jason Blossom was found murdered on the side of the river. That was the moment the town changed forever.

But it wasn’t the fact that he was murdered that scared everyone in town. It was that no one knew who killed him… or why they killed him.

That’s the mystery a group of investigative teenagers (and of course you as the viewer) try to crack in 13 episodes.

Alright, alright, I won’t spoil the rest for you. All you really need to know is that this show is stuffed with crazy drama, plot twists and a bit of romance. Personally, I’m not into murder mysteries, but this one had me hooked. After every episode I was dying to know what happened next so I was glued to my laptop, which explains why I finished the whole series in only two days.

Also, Cole Sprouse is insanely hot. Even though he plays a weird boy named Jughead. Just saying!

There is a second season coming in October, but if I were you I would just start binge watching now. That should give you enough time to try to figure out what else could possibly go wrong in Riverdale.
