Every year tends of thousands of people treck up to Saratoga to witness one of the country’s greatest pastimes: drinking alcohol and losing money
The Saratoga Race Track is a staple for betting on things you really don’t know much about. Like self proclaimed wine experts, betting on horses is more than less a guess for which one is good. But the track provides a great environment to get two+ buttons deep in and for that, we return year after year.
It’s a slim $5 to get inside the door, but sometimes it takes a free giveaway to get the stingy upstaters to cough up the bucks, and this year you have four opportunities to bring home something to hang on the mantle put on the shelf in your garage.
SARATOGA BASEBALL CAP: Sunday, July 23. This year’s edition is red and white with a Saratoga Casino Hotel logo on the back.
SARATOGA SHORT-SLEEVE T-SHIRT: Monday, Aug. 7. The gray short-sleeve T-shirt sports a red Saratoga Race Course logo.
SARATOGA COOLER BAG: Monday, Aug. 21. The Saratoga cooler bag is red and black this year.
SARATOGA CLOCK: Sunday, Sept. 3. The clock, presented by Foxwoods Resort Casino, features thoroughbreds racing down the stretch against the Saratoga grandstand and clubhouse roofline.
All giveaways are free with paid admission while supplies last.
The summer racing season runs from Friday, July 21, through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4.
