Pshhhh and you suckers thought the Solar Eclipse was the best thing to happen in 2017.
Nope! Taylor Freaking Swift is coming in HOT with a sneaky slick announcement of her newest album dropping November 10. If you’re dying to find out more about it, just visit her websi…wait this is what her website looks like right now:
Not very helpful, T.
Last week, fans were bummed to find out all of her social media accounts had been deleted following the sexual harassment lawsuit and media frenzy that put her back in the spotlight for the first time in a while. It’s been three years since ‘1989’ and any time this chick is quiet we all know she is hiding out making more bangers.
The announcement for ‘Reputation’ came in the form of a reactivated Instagram account and a series of dark, scaly videos of you guessed it –a snake! I totally know where she’s going with this.
Then, the internet did what it’s meant to do…unravel the riddles and shout out all of the nonsensical things that go through your mind when you realize Taylor Swift is about to rock the world again. We’re going to pretend to hate it but is really, this album is inevitably going to be the best one yet.
I’m speechless! Admittedly, I went through a phase (I think it was during the Red album, I mean maybe…I don’t like keep track of these things)…where I didn’t like Taylor Swift. But then, one listen of I Knew You Were Trouble and I was HOOKED. If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em and there’s no amount of boyfriend drama or Kardashian gossip that can stop the love.
(PS: The latest Kardashian gossip is that the font used for the album preview is a tiny bit similar to Kanye’s latest album-inspired merch for the Life of Pablo.)
T. Swift lovers will come to her defense and deny any intentional copycatting, but even if it IS intentional, you know it’s all a part of the most genius and diabolical marketing ploy ever: To make Taylor Swift the most popular human on planet Earth.
Not only is she a musical sensation, but she is a goddamn genius. Her marketing and public relations team must be stacked with the most brilliant minds in pop culture. The hype train is about to board and the whole world is hoppin’ on.
