Monday Motivation Featuring David Goggins

I sat and sighed after a days work, it’s Monday and Monday’s are tough. I forgot I hadn’t written for 2BD today. I knew I had to write, I just really didn’t want to.

I was doing my normal thing, listening to an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast and he had David Goggins on as a guest. Goggins dives into detail about how after running 70 miles, pissing blood, shitting himself, and having hallucinations due to mental and physical exhaust, he decides to wipe his shorts and run 31 more miles… I decided things could be worse and wrote exactly what I’m writing, right at this moment, amazing huh?

Are you really reading? It’s like you’re right here with me during my creative process, welcome, so anyway, just trust me, you need this as much as I do…

If you have been suffering some winter blues, unmotivated notions, or whatever the case may be. You need some of this. Take my recommendation, the second you feel like complaining about your life or giving up on what you’re working towards, play this:

(sparknotes below)

I know you probably didn’t watch all hour and seven minutes, so here’s the recap:

  1. David Goggins was an abused child who constantly lived in fear…
  2. He constantly avoided confronting his fears yet had a deep self-awareness they needed to be confronted, a haunting voice if you will, constantly reminding him…
  3. He found a way to take a tortured past and a self-taught image and turn it into fuel to be GREAT, he confronted life head-on, from ultra marathons to three Navy Seal hell weeks, he went at every obstacle that scared him…
  4. He broke his body from scary intense physical challenges, like the world record for pull-ups in a day… he healed himself through intense scratching and yoga exercise and now stretches 2-3 hours a day…
  5. He has a simple message, whatever you want, go get it, no matter what, and nobody will understand your path or struggle except you, so if you’re pouting about

There are people who are gifted yes, but those people still have to work hard to showcase their gifts. However, the normal, everyday human being, like you and I, are capable of things you can’t even imagine, and the only way they can find out through diving into challenges head first, and learning from experience…

If you’re taking a walk, a shit, mental break, give this a play from front to back, get some new motivation in your life to GO AND GET IT
