Late Night in the Morning – Trump Claims He Would Have Run into the School, Even Without a Weapon

Late Night In The Morning is 2BD’s daily service delivering the best clip from late night television to you every morning so you can enjoy your beauty rest without missing out on the laughs.

Today: Stephen Colbert (The Late Show/CBS) recaps a surprisingly surprising string of comments made my President Trump.

I’ll be the first to admit, I think late night television has flown a little too far into the political spectrum. I never watched the Daily Show just for that reason. I want to be entertained at 11:35 at night, not riled up. Albeit, how can they not? Late night hosts have become a reputable source for change and one of the most valuable platforms to messages to be relayed to the public and that’s why we have Colbert and Kimmel who now focus 75% of their monologue to recapping what the president has done that day.

And today was a day where we really needed it.

It hasn’t been an easy week here in America after 17 children were abolished, there’s been a sharp divide in reactions and what-ifs and what-have-yous. No matter what your stance on the issue is, we can all agree that the Scot Peterson is a coward. The armed and highly trained security guard who remained outside during the duration of the shooting. What do they say to that??? Uhhh. Oh yeah! You had one job!!!!

If only there was someone brave enough who would have stopped this massacre…Enter President Trump.

“I really believe I would have run in there, even if I didn’t have a weapon.”

Those are real words from a real human saying they would have run into the range of an active AR-15 without any weapon which has to be the stupidest thing I’ve heard today. Especially from the highly protected precious President, wait, nevermind, that’s not the stupidest thing I’ve heard today, this is:

“You have to look at some of these videos, the movies that are out. I can tell just by the commercial the level of craziness and viciousness in these movies. I think we have to look at that too. Maybe we need to put a rating system on that?”

This guy…I swear to god.
