Remember Allison Closs? The high schooler I wrote about last month who sparked her 15 minutes of fame after taking a cardboard Danny Devito to her prom. I still think it’s a gamechanger, but time will tell if the trend picks up.
On Monday, 73-year-old Devito returned the favor by bringing the underage girl into Paddy’s Pub, the infamous bar from the set of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
If this isn’t implemented into new episodes of Always Sunny I will be disappointed. Do I watch the show? No I don’t, I’m not gonna front. But I admire the hell out of Allison and I do vouch to tune in if she or her cardboard stunt double make an appearance.
“Making things work with a human date can be so exhausting,” Closs told the New York Post. “Danny’s not like that. He just goes with the flow… We never argue, never fight. Plus, he treats me the way a woman should be treated.”
This girl knows her priorities, I like her. And I’ve gotta say she has one of the coolest high school legacies. No extreme high school pranks or embarrassing events to create your legacy, just bringing a cardboard cutout to prom. Simple, elegant, cool.
And now she gets to hang out in one of America’s underage bars while underage…That’s even cooler.
