Be a Barroom Hero and Help 2BD and Magic Hat Raise Money for the Ronald McDonald House

St. Patty’s Day is coming up fast, people. Can you believe it? And that can only mean a few things, and one of those very important things is that you’re probably going to keep going out and drinking away the winter blues with your friends because hey, winter sucks and there’s a drinking holiday coming up!

So, if you’re going to be out and about anyways, you might as well do your socializing for a good cause and help Magic Hat and Two Buttons Deep raise some money for the Ronald McDonald House. For those who don’t know, the RMHC helps families with a place to stay while their little loved ones are spending time at the hospital undergoing treatment or fighting an illness. We’re lucky enough to have one of these amazing charity houses right here in the Capital Region.

At select local bars that sell Magic Hat for the next few weeks, you can donate any dollar amount and throw a shamrock up on the wall to become a Barroom Hero. What’s a Barroom Hero, you ask? Well, it’s the name of a special Magic Hat beer made in collaboration with everyone’s favorite Irish band, the Dropkick Murphys, but it’s also the name of this super cool campaign that Two Buttons Deep is happy to be a part of.

You guys know the deal when it comes to raising money for charity –and that’s that every little bit helps. So, like I said, if you’re going to be out drinking (responsibly, might I add) with your friends, belly up to a bar that sells Magic Hat and help make a difference for a local charity right here in the 518. We’ll be participating too, of course, so if you’ve just been DYING for a chance to hang out with the 2BD squad, keep an eye out on social media for our announcement of a few hangouts that’ll be happening with the squad, some Magic Hat beer and shamrocks galore.

This is a nationwide contest going on and I’ve been told there is something very special that can happen for the area that donates the most amount of money to RHMC. (It’s a secret, though.) I know some of us might be used to saying, “no thank you, another time” when being asked to donate at the grocery store, at the mall or wherever else, but this is a really good cause and I bet ya’ll will have a lot of fun and feel really good if you participate.

How do you feel?
